Few people know that Thomas Mallory's Le Morte d'Arthur originally had a passage in which Arthur had to sit through twelve hours of free-form poetry, participate in a tribal drum circle, and then attend a puppet show of the Mahabharata performed by traditional bunraku masters on an all-sustainable-material stage before finally being granted the sign that he was the true King of England.

I believe the note from his publisher, William Caxton, that resulted in the excision of the scene was, "Dude, you already titled this thing in Middle French. Don't push it."

If you're wondering where Saturday's comic is, you should know that we're hosted at ComicFury.com -- a wonderful host for comics. This weekend, ComicFury is moving its hosting to new servers. The downside of this is that the comics have been set to "No Upload Mode," so the new installment of FPK can't be posted here just yet. However, you can see it at TwitPic: Saturday's Comic
