When I was [much] younger, I didn't know any kid who didn't at least contemplate how they would trap Santa Claus at one time or another. No kid wanted to hurt Santa, of course -- they just wanted to see Santa for themselves.

One particularly enterprising year, I tried to alert myself to Santa's arrival by hanging a cord in front of the fireplace with a giant jingle bell hanging from it. The fact that my room was all the way across the house and upstairs didn't bother me -- I was sure that tiny little bell would wake me up and I could come running.

I awoke the next morning to find a note thanking me for the bell and telling me Rudolph would love it.

Just a reminder, if you holiday is short on hilarity you can stop by the iRiffs store and pick up The Kids on the Street's Santa Claus is Comin' To Town and Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer. You can also purchase the bargain-at-twice-the-price package, The Island of Misfit Riffs -- not one of my productions, it's just brilliant.

Or, if you want to feel all hope within your soul die a screaming, painful death, you can watch RiffTrax's Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny. What's an Ice Cream Bunny? Well, I watched the movie, and-- I still have no idea.
